After School Program Volunteer Teacher
As a volunteer you will be teaching our at-risk-kids the skills they need to create a brighter future.

This is an important role where you will co-create and discuss with other dedicated volunteers the lesson plans. You will spend your time teaching the children for example yoga, basic Maths and English, dance, theater and drama techniques encouraging creativity. You will be by their side assisting with homework. You will be teaching them the very important social and life skills that will empower each child to have a brighter future.

Volunteering in this precarious setting is a great way to give to the children, and have fun while doing it! You make a difference and an impact on these kids.

Group size: max 12. Age: 8-12 years.
What we offer you:
You will be trained in Positive Discipline by the EduMais founder Diana Nijboer (Certified Positive Discipline Classroom and Parents Educator). You will be part of a great and enthusiastic team. Each day will offer you new opportunities to learn. You will see our kids making progress, see their smiles!

EduMais will provide help with orientation and accommodation in Rio de Janeiro. And of course: At the end of your volunteering period you will receive a recommendation letter.
